Title: Catering Services Worker Lead - University of Iowa Stadium/Arena Requisition #: 651536 Location Iowa City, IA, 52241, United States Job Description The Catering Service Worker Lead is responsible for supervision and support in planning catering events of varying sizes and levels in both central and satellite locations. The role ensures all catering brand standards and initiatives are consistently achieved. Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain a safety culture that ensures no injuries occur. Directly supervise catering operations including coordination of staff, rental equipment, set‑up, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered foods, beverages and events of varying size and complexity. Handle booking of events, select and cost menu items, and set pricing as required. Assist with hiring, discipline, and performance reviews. Coordinate activities with internal departments, participate in management team meetings, and interface with vendors and key stakeholders. Maintain external customer relations; represent Aramark and the client at meetings and events. Ensure proper sanitation, organization, and safety standards through checklists, hands‑on supervision, and follow‑up. Participate in all catering training programs and help develop and implement training for hourly, part‑time, and student employees. Assist in implementing and adhering to all Aramark OpX Catering initiatives and guidelines. To meet commitments, job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice. Qualifications Minimum of two years operational experience in a hotel/banquet setting. Prior experience with event booking preferred. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing.
