Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled NICU RN to provide exceptional patient care in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The role involves floating to related units such as PICU, Peds, and NBN, ensuring comprehensive neonatal and pediatric care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced neonatal and pediatric care, including IV therapy, medication management, and ventilator support.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and operate ventilators to stabilize patient conditions.
• Perform tube placements and management, including NG, OG, and specialized lines, while documenting clinical interventions accurately.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and maintain timely, detailed charting in EPIC.
• Adhere to scheduling requirements, including holiday coverage, weekend shifts, and first-time traveler protocols.
• Float between units professionally, effectively managing diverse patient acuity levels and staffing needs.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NJ or Compact RN license at the time of applying.
• Possess at least 1.5 years of NICU Level III and PICU clinical experience documented in employment history.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, line care, and ventilator management techniques.
• Have current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications.
• Experienced in EPIC charting with familiarity in neonatal and pediatric patient care.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including holiday rotations and every other weekend.
