Overview Emergency Medicine Veterinarian | Be a Founding Member of Our New 24/7 ER Team. Midwest Animal Hospital is expanding in 2026 to launch a comprehensive 24-hour Emergency & Critical Care service, and we r seeking skilled, dedicated Emergency Veterinarians to join us at the ground level. Why Join Midwest Animal Hospital? A Growing, Collaborative Team: We9re proud to have a team of 15 general practice doctors and to host several DVM student externships each year. While we9re not a formal teaching hospital, we value mentoring future veterinarians in a welcoming, team-oriented environment. Comprehensive Services: Our busy hospital offers a full spectrum of general practice care including preventative medicine, dental care, reproduction, acupuncture, rehabilitation, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, boarding, grooming, and daycare. Make an Impact: Provide life-saving emergency and critical care daily in a fast-paced, supportive environment that values your expertise and well-being. Flexible Scheduling: Choose from 3x12 or 4x10-hour shifts with a mix of day, swing, and overnight options—no mandatory overnight-only schedules unless you want them. Typically two weekends per month with options for one. We build schedules thoughtfully, with days off to recover between night and day shifts. Compensation and Relocation: ProSal model with base ranges of $140k €“$150k for new grads and $160k €“$175k+ for experienced ER veterinarians. Plus a $20k+ sign-on bonus, relocation assistance, and student loan repayment options. Advanced Resources: Access cutting-edge diagnostics and surgical tools, including digital radiology, CT, ultrasound with certified technicians, endoscopy, and laser therapy. Collaborate daily with specialists in orthopedics, rehab, acupuncture, and more. Your Role Perform hands-on emergency medicine and soft tissue surgery cases such as GDVs, foreign body removals, splenectomies, lacerations, and amputations.
