Sysco is Urgently Hiring - Apply Now! \n Benefits: \n \n * Earn up to $34.38 per hour* \n * $600 tool allowance paid bi-annually \n * $125 annual boot voucher \n * Outstanding benefits \n * Excellent full-time career with a stable and growing company \n * Move your Career FORWARD with SYSCO FOODS! \n \n (*Based on experience and qualifications) \n Shift: \n \n * Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM \n \n Feed Your Ambition with Sysco - Appy Today! \n Responsibilities: \n \n * Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the life cycle of the fleet \n * Perform FAI/CVI (annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment in accordance with all federal, state, and local legal and regulatory agencies (includes all state-required inspections and frequencies) \n * Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment \n * Perform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any company-owned equipment \n * Address all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write-ups timely and efficiently \n * Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications, including but not limited to engines, transmissions, and clutches, drive-line, differential, steering and suspension, fuel and ignition system, exhaust systems (including regeneration systems), intake systems, electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC systems, and lift-gate hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems \n * Follow procedures, including documenting all work performed on work orders \n * Learn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs \n * Proficient in electrical meter testing \n * Knowledge of controls and electrical systems (DC, low-voltage) \n * Electric motor knowledge (DC) \n * Complete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed \n \n Qualifications: \n \n * High school diploma or GED required \n * Current and valid driver's license (CDL preferred, not required) \n \n Experience: \n \n * Medium/heavy-duty truck technical training \n * 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair OR 2 years of school and 1 year of experience \n \n Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations: \n \n * Annual Inspector Certification, knowledge, skills, and abilities \n * Brake Inspector Certification, knowledge, skills, and abilities \n * ASE certifications; automotive or medium/heavy-duty trucks (preferred, not required) \n * 609 HVAC Certification \n * Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers \n * The technician must provide their own tools (diagnostic equipment and major tools provided by Sysco) necessary to perform all maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics \n \n Sysco is an Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law. \n (*The pay range provided is not indicative of Sysco's actual pay range but is merely algorithmic and provided for generalized comparison.
