(LVN) Licensed Vocational Nurse - Float Team - 139609

Job Summary Under direct supervision of a registered nurse on the Float Team, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) performs a wide variety of patient care activities in the ambulatory setting, including triage, patient education, medication administration, phlebotomy, and IV access. The role requires prioritizing and responding to critical demands while working effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities Prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing. Assisting with patient examinations and preparation. Administering medications and drawing blood. Collecting and preparing laboratory tests. Providing patient education and venipuncture. Establishing IV access. Working effectively in a team environment. Traveling to additional clinics throughout San Diego, including North County, as business needs require. Qualifications Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) issued by the state of California. BART or BLS certification at time of hire, with commitment to obtain BART within six months. Demonstrated recent experience in a similar role and setting. Essential skills, knowledge, and abilities for the duties assigned. Preferred Qualifications Certification in Intravenous Therapy (LVN IV) issued by the state of California. Phlebotomy certification. Primary Care experience. Ambulatory experience. Point of Care testing experience. Procedure experience. Special Conditions Flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on‑call, and occasional overtime. Ability to work at various locations based on business needs. Employment subject to criminal background check and pre‑employment physical. Benefits Annual Full Pay Range: $74,980 – $93,229 (pro‑rated for part‑time positions). Hourly Equivalent: $35.91 – $44.65. Scheduling may include occasional weekends.
