We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer in Grand Prairie, TX to support purchasing and operations by sourcing materials, coordinating with vendors, managing purchase orders, and ensuring products are available to meet production and customer needs. This role involves researching suppliers, comparing pricing and lead times, maintaining accurate records in QuickBooks, monitoring open orders, and collaborating with sales, engineering, and operations teams to keep projects moving forward. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and comfortable researching products, reviewing specifications, and resolving purchasing challenges through strong follow-through and communication. Experience using AI tools to assist with research, information gathering, and workflow efficiency is highly valued, along with the ability to verify information before making decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, building vendor relationships, and contributing to a fast-paced team environment.

Requirements:

• 3-5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience and hands-on QuickBooks experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, construction, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, or similar environment

• Strong vendor management skills with experience negotiating pricing, comparing supplier quotes, evaluating lead times, and purchasing raw materials, components, parts, or production-related materials

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities, along with proficiency in Excel and experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude to support research and workflow efficiency while verifying all information for accuracy

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
