Staff Medical & Scientific Affairs Liaison - Infectious Diseases and Microbiology

Beckman Coulter Diagnostics seeks a Staff Medical & Scientific Affairs Liaison to develop medical education and foster key opinion leader relationships in infectious disease and microbiology diagnostics. The role bridges the company and academic/clinical communities, identifying research gaps and advancing diagnostic utilization.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic engagement plans with key opinion leaders and infectious disease stakeholders
Design and implement medical education and training programs for internal and external audiences
Support clinical study execution and maintain research initiatives in infectious disease diagnostics
Serve as scientific authority, communicating complex infectious disease concepts to collaborators
Monitor clinical trends and diagnostic innovations; present at scientific conferences and symposia

Requirements

9+ years experience with Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years with Master's degree, or 4+ years with doctorate
3+ years in Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, or clinical practice roles
Deep knowledge of infectious disease testing, diagnosis, and treatment in clinical and laboratory settings
Understanding of clinical research methodologies, regulatory standards, and medical terminology
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare professionals
Strong communication and presentation skills for scientific and non-scientific audiences
Willingness to travel 20-25% domestically and internationally
