Duties and Responsibilities: Perform a PM on the yard mule before shift begins. Pull clean and dirty trailers in and out of the wash bays. Maintaining organized trailer placement in the yard. Perform other related duties requested by the supervisor on shift. Must be willing to stay over or come in early to cover other drivers on shift if absent. Valid Driver License required. Ability to prioritize task and delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high paced and at times stressful environment. Must have 6 to 12 months experience in operating a Yard Mule. Upon hiring you will need to take a safety training driving course followed by a Yard Spotter evaluation. Must have 3 yrs or more experience pulling and backing up large utility trailers, open flatbeds, ranging in lengths 15ft, 20ft, 50ft. Education and Experience: Minimum 6 to 12 months experience in operating a Yard Mule. High School Diploma or equivalent. Additional Job Information Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, and days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, hours depend on location. Company Information Work Environment: The shop has a climate similar to outdoor weather. Frequent exposure to loud machinery, air tool operation, hammering and engine noise. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to push, pull, or lift up to 75 lbs. Able to fit into a 20" cargo trailer dome opening. Able to meet safety standards for fall protection harness - max weight 310 lbs (includes all PPE worn). Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Stand for long periods of time. Walk for long periods of time. Bend or twist their body.
