Commissary Distribution & Operations Supervisor Department: Distribution Center / Wholesale Operations Employment Type: Full-Time Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt Compensation: $26.00-$30.00 per hour, based on experience Schedule: Night Shift (8 hours anywhere from 7PM-5AM) Reports To: Director of Distribution & Operations Position Summary Chaumont is seeking a dependable, hands‑on, and standards‑focused Night Shift Distribution Center Supervisor to help lead overnight operations across baking, packing, order preparation, cleanliness, and logistics. This role supports the full night process from production handoff through final packing and distribution readiness. The Night Shift Supervisor is responsible for helping direct the team, maintaining workflow, reinforcing cleanliness and food safety standards, and ensuring products are prepared, packed, labeled, organized, and ready for timely delivery. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly organized, team‑focused, and comfortable leading in a fast‑paced bakery and distribution environment. Key Responsibilities Help direct all night shift processes across baking, packing, order staging, and logistics preparation. Support Austin Santos with overnight execution, team communication, shift priorities, and operational follow‑through. Monitor production flow and ensure baked goods are completed, handled, packed, labeled, and organized according to Chaumont standards. Support packing accuracy for retail locations, wholesale orders, catering, and distribution needs. Ensure orders are properly counted, labeled, staged, and ready for delivery or pickup. Help manage team members during the night shift, including task direction, break coordination, station support, and shift accountability. Reinforce cleanliness, sanitation, food safety, product handling, storage, labeling, dating, and organization standards. Maintain a clean, inspection‑ready production and packing environment throughout the shift. Communicate shortages, delays, quality concerns, equipment issues, staffing concerns, or operational risks to Austin and leadership. Support team training, coaching, accountability, and proper communication during overnight operations. Ensure employees follow Chaumont policies regarding attendance, breaks, professionalism, safety, cleanliness, and workplace conduct. Partner with baking, packing, logistics, and distribution teams to ensure a smooth overnight close and morning handoff. Qualifications Prior bakery, food production, distribution, warehouse, hospitality operations, or supervisory experience required. Prior night shift leadership, team lead, supervisor, or production coordination experience preferred. Strong understanding of food safety, cleanliness, sanitation, product handling, and operational standards. ServSafe certification required. Strong communication, organization, urgency, and follow‑through. Ability to lead a team respectfully while maintaining accountability and standards. Comfortable working overnight in a fast‑paced production and distribution environment. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, reach, pack, organize, clean, and support physical operations throughout the shift. Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and solutions‑oriented.
