Maintenance Technician

Wednesday & Thursday 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM Friday & Saturday 10:00 PM - 11:00 AM

Operates, maintains, and repairs a machine by performing the following duties. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Makes sure that the machine is working properly.
• Adjusts product flow from the machine.
• Adjusts and checks equipment used for different products being run.
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Dismantles defective equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Installs and repairs electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Keeps the equipment clean.
• Notifies management if there is a machine malfunction.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
