Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized critical care to complex patient cases within a 30-bed medical-surgical and progressive care unit. The role emphasizes patient safety, advanced clinical skills, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Position Description: Provides general duties on a medical-surgical and progressive care unit, focusing on critical care experiences such as mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, sedation monitoring, chest tubes, and cardiac monitoring.
• Required Qualifications: Active licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); BLS (American Heart Association); ACLS (American Heart Association); at least 1 year of experience in an ICU setting; location requirements as specified; available for night shifts; minimum 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Specialty certifications such as Progressive Care Nursing or Medical-Surgical Nursing; additional experience in respiratory care procedures including Bipap, Cpap, Heated High Flow, and oxygen titration.
• Schedule: Straight nights, every other weekend and holiday, 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Day 1 training includes competency validation on telemetry and mechanical ventilation; day 2 involves unit orientation with a preceptor; day 3 is a 12-hour shift on the unit.
