Senior Tax Accountant

A well-established and growing CPA firm based in Corona, California is looking to hire a CPA Senior Tax Accountant to join their team on-site. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional who enjoys working closely with clients, preparing and reviewing a range of tax returns, and being part of a supportive firm that values accuracy, communication, and long-term client relationships. About the Role The CPA Senior Tax Accountant will be responsible for a variety of tax-related tasks, ensuring compliance and providing high-quality service to clients. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, business, fiduciary, estate/trust, and nonprofit tax returns. Handle federal and California state tax compliance for individuals, corporations, partnerships, S‑corps, trusts, estates, and nonprofits. Support tax planning and advisory work for business owners and individual clients. Review client financial records, bookkeeping, workpapers, and supporting documentation. Communicate directly with clients to gather information, answer tax questions, and provide a high level of service. Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audit support, and tax agency correspondence. Identify opportunities for deductions, credits, tax savings, and improved compliance. Work closely with the team to ensure accurate, timely, and professional delivery of client work. Qualifications Active CPA license required. Strong public accounting tax experience. Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns. Knowledge of federal and California tax compliance. High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines. Experience with trusts, estates, nonprofits, QuickBooks, or bookkeeping is a plus. Preferred Skills Experience with trusts, estates, nonprofits, QuickBooks, or bookkeeping.
