Chief Medical Officer

Job Summary And Responsibilities As the Chief Medical Officer for Holy Cross Hospital - Salt Lake and Holy Cross Hospital - Mountain Point, you will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and overall operational management of physician services and medical staff administration. This role reports to the Chief Executive Officer of the facility to develop strategic plans, policies, and address operational issues that build effective relationships between the hospital and its Medical Staff to produce excellence in clinical outcomes. Key Responsibilities Establishing and implementing standards and policies within each hospital and across hospitals to ensure quality of medical care. Partnering with the Chief Nursing Officers to provide effective multidisciplinary approaches to clinical outcome management and environments of quality and safety. Working closely with the Market Chief Medical Officer and CME to meet Market, Region, and System-wide strategies, goals, objectives, and standards. Serving as the primary community resource to all hospital communities and providing advice and counsel to administrators on medical and administrative matters related to medical practice and current affairs. Job Requirements Education & Experience Requirements: Five years’ experience in delivery of physician services and medical staff administration with proven success in progressive responsibility in healthcare leadership. Knowledge of Joint Commission, managed care, and health policy is essential with proven success in effective integration of medical management. Board certified in an approved clinical specialty required while in clinical practice. MD or DO, DR-Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in applicable state. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s in business administration. Medical staff relations, quality measurement credentialing and previous medical management experience is highly desirable. Physical Requirements Medium Work – Exert up to 50 pounds force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly. Pay Range $115.03 – $161.05 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
