We are currently looking for a Part-time 38-hour per week, Security Officer II to join our 3rd Shift team at Chisholm Trail Casino in Duncan, OK. The Security Officer II helps create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and team members at Chisholm Trail Casino. This role includes active patrols, monitoring access points, responding to incidents, and de-escalating situations while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities also include escorting patrons and secured assets, documenting activities, and communicating effectively across departments. This position handles moderately complex situations independently and escalates more serious concerns as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provides first-class customer service; is courteous and helpful to all internal and external customers.
• Greets and engages customers professionally, determines needs, and works to ensure positive outcomes.
• Answers questions in a courteous and professional manner.
• Partners with internal and external departments to ensure appropriate referrals and service resolution.
• Works collaboratively to support productivity, safety, and service standards for the work area, team members, and guests.
• Shares responsibility for maintaining adequate supplies and equipment and ensures general upkeep of the work area.
• Observes and addresses potential environmental hazards and safety risks.
• Monitors and ensures the safety of guests, employees, and tribal assets based on assigned duty station.
• Guards facility entrances as assigned, controlling access and alerting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Responds to security breaches and incidents.
• Executes internal and external patrols of assigned areas.
• Escorts patrons, guests, drop teams, and money carts when assigned to a gaming facility.
• Prepare temporary visitor identification as needed.
• Monitors opening and closing of machines for routine repairs and maintenance when assigned.
• Follows established emergency procedures to protect guests and employees in situations such as inclement weather, fire, or active threat events.
• Communicates via radio and other methods according to division and position protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team members, departments, guests, and management; shares relevant information and follows communication protocols.
• Maintains accurate files, logs, records, and incident reports; records detailed, legible written notes during shifts (including in a field notebook) and accurately transfers information into formal reports and systems in accordance with departmental procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of all data and information.
• Maintains professionalism, including punctuality, attendance, and adherence to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards.
• Completes all required training and participates in ongoing development opportunities.
• Provides break coverage and may assist in other areas based on operational needs.
• Handles moderately complex issues and escalates more complex situations to appropriate leadership.
• Maintains knowledge of and complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and SOPs (e.g., MICS, TICS).
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education: Requires a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Experience:

• One (1) year directly related experience preferred
• Previous experience in security, asset protection, law enforcement or military preferred

Credentials:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test with a negative result
• Position is designated as safety-sensitive and subject to random drug testing.
• Must pass a gaming and/or general background check as required by position and location.
• Must be able to learn, study, and successfully complete Security Guard Certifications Phase I and Phase II.
• Armed Security Guard Phase IV certification may be required or preferred based on assignment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods, up to 25% of the shift.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 100% of the shift.
• Ability to walk for extended periods, up to 75% of the shift.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, push, reach, and climb stairs.
• May be required to run in response to situations.
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Requires hand-eye coordination, reaching, grasping, and manual dexterity.
• Requires visual acuity for detail, distance, color, and depth perception.
• Requires listening and hearing ability, including use of radios, earpieces, and phones.
• Ability to walk or move throughout assigned areas while simultaneously communicating via radio or verbal instruction, including speaking clearly and effectively during physical activity.

Working Conditions:

• Casino / Entertainment environment: Bright and flashing lights, elevated noise levels, large crowds, high foot traffic
• Regular exposure to cigarette smoke
• May encounter potentially dangerous situations requiring de-escalation of argumentative, hostile, or similar behaviors.
• Work is performed in a mix of office and non-office settings.
• Regular use of a computer, up to 25% of the shift.
