  • Status Epilepticus
  \n
  • Encephalitis
  \n
  • Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

  • Intracranial Hemorrhage
  \n
  \n •Stroke
  \n
  \n
  • Minor Neurological Disorders
  \n
  \n Primary skills utilized/learned:
  \n
  \n
  • Detailed Neurological assessments
  \n
  • ICP Monitoring
  \n
  • Medication titration
  \n
  • Managing surgical drains, mechanical ventilators, body temperature, & CRRT
  \n
  \n •Neurological patient care; NIHSS Certification for Stroke care
  \n •Telemetry monitoring
  \n •Time management, critical thinking, delegating
  \n •Seizure disorder monitoring/ care
  \n Personnel RN will work with:
  \n
  \n
  • LPNs, Patient Care Nursing Assistants (PCNAs), Nurse Interns, Providers, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy, PT, OT, Dietary
  \n

  \n Required Qualifications:
  \n -Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (or a program seeking accreditation).
  \n -Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Ohio
  \n -Current AHA Basic Life Support for the healthcare provider certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  \n Preferred Qualifications :
  \n -BSN
  \n -Professional Certification recognized by the Magnet Association
\n
