Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) with a typical ratio of 4:1, which may adjust to 5:1 based on acuity. Manage drip therapies at the IMCU level of care, including Insulin/Glucomander, Neosynephrine (up to 100), and Precedex. Monitor and manage arterial lines (A-lines) and TR bands as part of post-procedural care. Care for stroke patients and patients recovering from procedures, applying NIH Stroke Scale assessments. Document and manage patient records using Epic EMR. Float within skillset as operationally needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN License (candidates who have at least applied for licensure will be considered)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty
• BLS certification required (may be obtained prior to start)
• ACLS certification required (may be obtained prior to start)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required (may be obtained prior to start)
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• Requested time off of 7 days or fewer; no more than 1 holiday request
• Must live within 75 miles of the facility to be considered a local candidate; local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate
• SSN required for clearance; candidates with a pending SSN or pending work authorization cannot be cleared

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with stroke patient populations and post-procedural care
• Familiarity with TR band management and arterial line monitoring
