Registered Nurse (RN), Intensive Care Unit (ICU/CCU) Job Type: Hourly Full-time and Part-time Sign-On Bonus: $25,000 over two years paid quarterly (prorated for part-time) Summary Our ICU is a small dynamic and diverse unit, specializing in surgical, medical, stroke and cardiac care. We have implemented many technologic advances to ensure high-quality care for our patients. We are committed to improving the emotional and physical health of our patients through superior clinical care and the compassionate management of illness and disability. We offer our nurses 12 hour shifts, 7a-7p and 7p-7a with an every other weekend & holiday rotation. Schedules are provided on a 4-week interval basis. Your contribution A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, and referrals. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Floats, without an assignment, to other departments as needed to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios. Position Requirements Applicants must have a current state RN license and possess an associate's or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Must take a Critical Care course within one year from hire date if less than two years of critical care experience.
