Position Overview The West Virginia University (WVU) School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, invites applications for a Medical Director of Pediatric Cardiac Electrophysiology. This position is open to candidates eligible for appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The selected candidate will primarily practice at our main campus in Morgantown, WV. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care in pediatric cardiology with a specialization in electrophysiology. Collaborate with advanced practice professionals to deliver high‑quality patient care. Participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications MD or DO degree, or foreign equivalent. Eligibility for a state medical license. Completion of a Pediatric residency program and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship program. Additional formal training in pediatric electrophysiology is required. Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. For consideration at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, candidates must demonstrate a track record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high‑impact journals. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Location Morgantown, WV. Morgantown is a vibrant small metropolitan area located just over an hour south of Pittsburgh, PA, and within three hours of Cleveland, Baltimore, and Washington, DC. Additional Opportunities Depending on operational needs, the candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional locations in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, with travel expected to fulfill those duties.
