Audiologist PRN

Job Summary Perform audiological and vestibular function testing; develop hearing correction plans of care for patients with audiological impairments. Primary Responsibilities Perform diagnostic testing to assess patient hearing and vestibular status and determine appropriate treatment. Develop, document, implement and evaluate hearing correction plans. Provide hearing device modifications. Educate and counsel patients, caregivers and family members on treatment options and continuing care. Work in a constant state of alertness and safety. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in Audiology. Experience: No experience required. Licenses: Licensed Audiologist in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma or Wisconsin, or hold a temporary permit in Wisconsin. Resuscitation Certification: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required depending on the department. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25–50 lbs. Rare climbing.
