CDL Truck Driver

Job Summary The Truck Driver (CDL) is responsible for completing local and non-local deliveries of MICA Steelworks materials and products. This position reports to the Plant Manager. Experience High School Diploma or GED Minimum 24 Months Of Commercial Driving Experience 3 to 5 years' experience delivering manufacturing materials and products preferred. QUALIFICATIONS: The Truck Driver (CDL) Must Possess a Commercial Driver's License, (CDL) Class A, with good driving record. Minimum 21-years-old No DUI convictions in last 2 years No more than 1 preventable accidents in the last 12-month period No more than 3 moving violations in 3-year period Successfully pass a background check, including criminal history, drug screen, DOT physical, audiogram, and vision test. Driver Benefits 7 Major Holidays Paid Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Direct Deposit & Paid Every Friday Vacation Time (2 weeks after 1 Year + 3 days PTO) Local, Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday Driver will be home daily with occasional overnight 1-2 times a month Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Disability insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid orientation Paid time off Paid training Referral program Safety equipment provided Vision insurance Supplemental Pay Performance bonus Responsibilities The Truck Driver (CDL) has responsibilities on and off site, including but not limited to: Loading, driving & unloading delivery trucks Receiving, shipping & stocking materials and products Securing cargo for transport Obtaining receipts and signatures for delivered materials and products Completing commercial deliveries – local and overnight Reporting all equipment defects or damage, as well as, accidents and traffic violations Maintaining a driver's daily log Verifying delivery instructions and routes Complying with all state, federal and company regulations Performing other duties in the manufacturing plant, as assigned by Plant Manager in the preparation and/or distribution of various deliveries. WORKING CONDITIONS The position generally drives but will be asked to perform duties in the manufacturing plant during down time.
