Registered Nurse Operating RoomOur client, a leading health system in Garden City, KS, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic surgical environment, providing high-quality patient care.ResponsibilitiesAssess patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records & clinical data.Evaluate patient's response and intervene to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.Demonstrate competency in a variety of therapeutic/diagnostic interventions including IV's, incision/wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.Maintain thorough and confidential patient charts and records.Document ongoing status, interventions, patient response, and outcomes accurately and timely.Use information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support decision-making.Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect the health and safety and rights of each patient.Provide patient/family education through assessment of patient/family learning readiness, needs, and ability.Circulate and/or scrub on all cases, primarily in General, Orthopedic, GYN, OB, Urology, Podiatry, and Plastics.Assist with room turnover and restocking for next day's cases.Act as an advocate for patients before, during, and after surgery.RequirementsAssociates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.RN License in the state of employment.Physical Requirements: Medium Work exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly.Previous OR experience is highly preferred.ScheduleFull-time position with variable shifts based on surgical volume and current unit needs.Call is required for all full-time employees, approximately 4-6 shifts per month.30-minute callback radius required.Compensation$26.95 - $42.99/hourBenefitsMedical, prescription drug, dental, and vision plans.Life insurance.Paid time off (minimum of 14 paid time off days, including holidays annually).Tuition reimbursement.Retirement plan benefits including 401(k) and 403(b).
