About the Role
The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management to play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational leadership of the physical environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of areas, including facilities planning, design and construction, maintenance, utilities, environmental safety and health, grounds and building services, custodial operations, space administration, capital planning, and sustainability. This key leadership position involves shaping the daily performance and long-term development of the company's physical assets, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, responsible stewardship, and the creation of safe, welcoming, and effective environments for the community. The ideal candidate for the Assistant Vice President of Facilities Management role at the company will have a proven track record in a similar senior facilities management position. They should be adept at leading a large team and managing a significant operating budget, as well as overseeing a substantial amount of renovation and construction activity. The role requires a collaborative leader who values relationship-building and is committed to the principles of sustainability. A background in a related field, such as engineering, architecture, or environmental science, is often preferred, along with a relevant advanced degree. The candidate should be prepared to contribute to the company's exciting period of campus investment, infrastructure renewal, and long-range planning, and be dedicated to the development of environments that support the success of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
