Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. (In-Person)
Hours: Part-Time to Start
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience

We're seeking someone who enjoys helping others, stays organized in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to patients and healthcare providers.

Bilingual candidates are preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage information
  • Obtain and track prior authorizations for healthcare services
  • Review insurance requirements and communicate necessary information to patients and clinical staff
  • Follow up with insurance carriers regarding authorization status, coverage questions, and claims-related issues
  • Obtain referrals when required by insurance plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of insurance information, authorizations, and communications
  • Monitor pending authorizations and proactively prevent delays in patient care
  • Communicate patient financial responsibilities and coverage limitations when appropriate
  • Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and billing teams to resolve insurance-related concerns
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
  • Assist with additional administrative and insurance-related duties as needed
QualificationsRequired
  • Previous experience in medical insurance, healthcare administration, patient services, or a medical office environment
  • Experience with insurance verification, benefits investigation, and prior authorizations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Comfort communicating with patients, providers, and insurance carriers by phone
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy
  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new systems and software
Preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
  • Experience with claims follow-up, referrals, and reimbursement processes
  • Experience in specialty healthcare or durable medical equipment environments
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish preferred), but not required
