Make an immediate difference in the lives of elementary students as a Special Education Teacher supporting inclusive classrooms through both push-in and pull-out models. This contract opportunity offers two openings, beginning as soon as possible and extending through December 19th. The role is based near the Nashville area and provides the chance to work within a supportive environment committed to student growth and teacher collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Special Education Teaching Certification (required)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferred
- Ability to utilize both inclusion and resource/pull-out strategies
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Positive, team-focused attitude and adaptability to changing environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide special education services in inclusion/push-in and pull-out settings
- Modify and deliver lessons based on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families
- Maintain accurate progress monitoring and documentation
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
- Participate in IEP meetings and staff professional development as needed
Educators in this position can expect a weekly schedule of 37.5 hours across five days, serving elementary students in a variety of learning environments. The compensation for this contract role ranges from $35 to $40 per hour, paid weekly.
