Carthage Area Hospital LABORATORY Carthage, NY Allied Health Professional Full Time, day shift, variable Medical Technologist | Lab | Full-Time Day Shift Pay Range $41.24 – $49.53 / hour Sign-On Bonus Eligible Primary Shift 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (varying shifts as needed) Job Overview Join our laboratory team responsible for the precise performance and timely reporting of lab procedures. You will maintain equipment and records, assist in researching new methodologies, and uphold the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. This role includes training employees and performing phlebotomy for inpatients and outpatients as required. Shift Differentials Evening (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM): Additional $5.00/hour (min. 4 hours worked). Night (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM): Additional $6.00/hour (min. 4 hours worked). Qualifications Licensure: Must meet New York State Department of Health code requirements for Medical Technologists. Certification: ASCP MT registry (or equivalent) preferred. Expertise: Knowledge of age-specific needs for patient populations ranging from infant to geriatric. Soft Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills with a personal drive for excellence and a willingness to help others. Key Responsibilities Precision: Ensure accurate performance of lab procedures and timely reporting to physicians. Maintenance: Keep laboratory equipment, records, and workspace in optimal working order. Ethics: Uphold the highest professional and ethical standards to ensure organizational success. The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
