Senior Accountant (Montague)

What we’re looking for: The Senior Accountant will bring expertise, innovation, and passion to our growing organization. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting responsibilities for both Cudmore Group and our retail brands. Our Senior Accountant thrives in small-to medium-sized businesses and enjoys wearing multiple hats. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Prepare and review full-cycle accounting activities, including Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger. Assist in the preparation and review of monthly and year-end financial reporting. File monthly GST & HST returns. Perform accounting reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data. Support cash flow management, budgeting and forecasting processes. Assist with inventory accounting and Fixed Asset tracking. Support management with financial analysis and reporting. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and reporting requirements. Qualifications 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in small-to medium-sized enterprises. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Experienced at running payroll. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. CPA membership is an asset. Experience in retail sales is an asset. Practical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. What’s in it for you? Salary: $70,000-$95,000 per year, based on qualifications.
