Python AI Developer

We are seeking a Principal-level Python AI Developer with extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions. The ideal candidate will join a cross-functional product team of software engineers, research scientists, and product managers to build AI-first applications using modern cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted development tools. This role requires strong technical leadership, expertise in scalable distributed systems, and the ability to drive enterprise AI initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale AI applications using Python and modern software engineering practices.
• Build scalable backend services and distributed systems to support AI-driven products.
• Develop and maintain modern web applications, collaborating across backend and frontend technologies.
• Design and implement cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Build, deploy, and maintain applications using GitLab CI/CD and cloud deployment pipelines.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar platforms to improve engineering productivity.
• Collaborate with software engineers, research scientists, and product managers throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Lead technical design discussions and provide architectural guidance for AI-first software solutions.
• Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Mentor engineering teams and promote best practices in AI-enabled software development.
• Communicate technical solutions and architectural decisions effectively with stakeholders and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale AI solutions.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and modern software architecture.
• Strong backend development experience with Python or a comparable backend language with the ability to read and work with Python.
• Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment practices.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar platforms.
• Experience leading large technical initiatives and influencing engineering strategy.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
