Hours & Shift Shift start time: 7 PM. Shift end time: 7:30 AM. AWS hours requirement: 12/36 – 12 hour shift. Weekend requirements: every other. On‑call required: no. Pay Hourly pay range (minimum‑midpoint‑maximum): $61.740 – $70.170 – $90.160. Pay placement is based on years of RN experience per the collective bargaining agreement between Sharp HealthCare and the relevant unions. Responsibilities Provide direct and indirect nursing services to patients and families. Use systematic planning and appropriate methods to coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team and the patient/family. Focus on and manage multiple patient needs and aspects of care. Communicate actively with the care team to plan patient care. Problem‑solve and determine the most effective approach using available resources. Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking to deliver individualized, goal‑directed care consistent with current safety standards. Identify actual or potential patient risks and continuously evaluate interventions, adjusting the plan as needed. Make timely referrals based on information from initial and ongoing assessments. Collaborate with patients, families, and team members to develop a comprehensive plan of care. Prioritize resource demand and collaborate with others to meet individualized patient needs. Act as a preceptor/teacher, guiding nurses on applying the nursing process to the unit’s population. Implement safe, therapeutic, and efficient care for patients with complex needs. Document care per department and entity guidelines, ensuring a detailed and concise record. Delegate tasks appropriately, applying supervision levels and ensuring completion. Assess appropriateness of physician orders and question orders when appropriate. Offer assistance, constructive feedback, and support to coworkers. Maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and families, addressing cultural, language, and spiritual needs. Advocate for patients by removing obstacles and supporting their needs and wants. Provide age‑appropriate education that facilitates recovery, self‑care, and health maintenance. Coordinate transfer and discharge planning and teaching with team members. Qualifications Graduate of nursing school. Minimum 1 year of clinical experience (new graduates complete required training). California Registered Nurse (RN) – CA Board of Registered Nursing. American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals (AHA BLS Healthcare). Benefits & Incentives Full relocation bonus for new hires moving to San Diego: $5,000.
