Project Manager

Job Location: 60 - Westerman – Hebron, OH 43025 Salary Range: $90,000 - $105,000 Westerman, Inc., an employee‑owned company, manufactures production and storage equipment for the oil, gas, and nuclear industries. SUMMARY The Project Manager ensures timely, profitable execution of projects while maintaining customer satisfaction. The role provides guidance to shops and engineering staff on equipment design and fabrication, collaborates across cross‑functional teams, and escalates high‑level insights to leadership. The position reports to the General Manager or Operations Superintendent. RESPONSIBILITIES Accountable for job costing and project profitability; maintain a complete job file including correspondence, specifications, drawings, bill of materials, delivery lists, quotations, change orders, cost estimates, inspection reports, delivery receipts, invoices, and final costing. Monitor assigned projects to keep them within scope, schedule, and budget and ensure work complies with policies and expectations. Coordinate customer‑submitted ECNs, including determining and submitting ECN pricing to the customer. Schedule projects based on quoted delivery, customer needs, and shop workload; review schedule weekly during production meetings. Review job material and requirements; direct Commodity Managers to obtain quotes when appropriate. Analyze schedule delays and coordinate necessary schedule changes to accommodate unforeseen conditions. Track material requisition dates for every assigned project. Ensure work orders comply with controlling documents, assist in determining work priority, and establish workflow processes that support operational goals. Schedule all required drawings and completion dates with Engineering; create drawing transmittals and maintain project files within network folders. Perform other duties as required and assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty or responsibility satisfactorily. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 3 years of project management experience. Strong preference for oil and gas industry experience. Registered Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. Knowledge of ASME, API, NFPA, AGA, and other relevant standards, including welding procedures. Experience working within multidisciplinary matrixed teams and managing work against safety, quality, budget, and time indicators. Multi‑tasking ability and capability to work well under pressure with multiple competing priorities in a matrixed organization. Ability to comprehend project specifications and contract documents. Ability to review and comprehend technical drawing packages including Piping & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID), General Arrangements, and fabrication drawing details. Ability to develop strong relationships at all levels within the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint). Hands‑on user knowledge of ERP systems in an engineered‑to‑order business model. Travel as needed to support required projects. Driving is an essential function; a clean driving record is required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT Must sit at a desk for extended periods, lift up to 15 pounds in an office setting, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend. Must be able to see, speak, hear, read, and manipulate office machines. Must travel by car and airplane as needed.
