Prepares specimens for microscopic examination or testing procedures. Operates automated laboratory instrumentation and equipment. Performs quality control and assurance procedures. Records lab results in specified system. Follows all required HIPAA privacy, safety, and biohazard procedures and standards.Education: Graduate of an accredited/NAACLS approved program for Medical Laboratory Scientist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).Certification: ASCP, AMT, NCA, or HEW requiredExperience: One to two years' experience working in an accredited laboratory preferred, but will gladly accept new grads!MUSC Health Florence Medical Center is a leading regional acute care facility comprised of 396 patient beds and more than 1,500 employees and nearly 300 physicians representing all major specialties.
