Operations ManagerThe Best Teams are Created and Maintained Here.Job SummaryThe Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day branch operations, ensuring efficiency and safety. This role manages staff, resources, and workflows to achieve financial and operational targets while maintaining compliance with company policies. The Operations Manager drives continuous improvement, fosters collaboration between departments, and ensures that operations support excellent customer service.Duties and Responsibilities:Process Improvement and Efficiency: Analyze operational processes and workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement changes to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectivenessTeam Leadership and Development: Supervise, train, and develop staff, conduct performance evaluations, foster a positive work environment, and address team issues promptlyForecasting and Labor Management: Execute weekly and monthly labor planner, monitor expenses, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure the branch operates within forecasted labor hours/dollars/percents to meet financial targetsProcurement and Inventory Management: Source products from preferred vendors, manage inventory levels to meet demand without overstocking, facilitate equipment tracking and preventive maintenance, and ensure timely vendor deliveriesSafety, Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure operations comply with industry regulations, enforce company safety standards, identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate, execute compliance processes (e.g., Stretch & Flex, Gate Check, ETC), conduct audits, and maintain accurate safety documentationReporting and Performance Metrics: Track and report KPIs to track operational performance, report operational challenges to the Branch Manager daily, leverage company systems and tools such as BrightPath, Power BI, Leadr, Field Management Systems, and Estimating (CPQ) to inform data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvementCustomer Service, Satisfaction, and Jobsite Quality: Ensure high standards of customer satisfaction and jobsite quality, address operational issues, and implement processes to improve customer experienceProject Management: Lead and coordinate operational projects, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with branch growth and operational goalsResource Planning: Oversee staffing, equipment, and technology allocation; anticipate forecast operational needs; plan for future resource requirements; and ensure sufficient capacity to meet demandCollaboration and Communication: Partner with internal branch departments (Office Admin, Operations, Sales, Account Management) and external vendors/clients to support smooth operations and communicate/execute operational excellence strategies in partnership with the Director of OperationsEducation and Experience:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a landscape or business-related field, or equivalent experience in a service-based industryMinimum 7 years of experience in the construction or landscaping industryMinimum 2-3 years of management experience within the landscape or service industryQualified Applicator License (Pesticide or Fertilizer) preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, as well as company systems such as FSM, BrightPath, and MFP/WAR calls.Experience with mobile applications, including retrieving email, accessing and using mobile applications, taking, and sharing picturesProven ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and evolving work environment.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferredEffective written and oral communication skillsAbility to create and foster a team-oriented environmentPhysical Demands/Requirements:Ability to walk, bend, twist, and carry up to 50lbsAbility to traverse uneven surfaces on job sites for quality checks and inspectionsMust be able to travel within the branch territory to visit designated client propertiesAbility to maintain, in your possession at all times, required medications to address any known allergic reactions should they occurWork Environment:Field-based role; will have regular office workBrightView Landscapes, LLC is an Equal Opportunity and E-Verify Employer.This job description is subject to change at any time.Compensation Pay Range:75000.00 to 90000.00BrightView offers a suite of health, wellness, and financial benefits to full-time team members.
