Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Valid RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience, patient ratio experience Description: The position is in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. The unit welcomes first-time travelers. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. Guaranteed hours are not specified. Every other weekend availability is required. Floating to similar units may be necessary based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 20 patients. The unit consists of 24 beds. Team support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams. Patients primarily have cardiac surgical and cardiac medical conditions. Special procedures may be performed in this unit. The ratio of patients is 2:1 during both days and nights.
