Data Scientist III

OverviewVTG is looking for a Data Scientist in Chantilly, VA. Data Scientist III independently performs data analysis and modeling to support mission outcomes, providing actionable insights to government and program leadership.What will you do?Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insightsDevelop and apply statistical models or machine learning techniques as appropriateDesign and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and analytic productsTranslate mission or business questions into analytic approaches and outputsValidate data quality, assumptions, and model resultsPresent findings and recommendations to technical and non‑technical stakeholdersSupport integration of analytics into operational or decision‑support workflowsDo you have what it takes?TS/SCI with Poly RequiredBachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field10+ years of experience in data analytics or data science rolesStrong proficiency with Python or R and SQLExperience with statistical analysis, modeling, or machine learning techniquesStrong written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications: Experience supporting IC, DoD, or DOJ mission programs, Experience working with operational, intelligence, or enterprise data, Familiarity with cloud‑based analytics environments, Experience with Agile delivery environmentsThis position is contingent upon contract award.Pay Range: VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $105,000 - $230,000 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
