Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, high-quality care to mothers and their infants during the childbirth process. This role involves rotating through various areas including labor, triage, and mother-baby postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages to ensure safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and perform clinical tasks in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Record patient information accurately utilizing EPIC and other electronic health record systems.
• Float between units as required, maintaining clinical standards and providing support to staff.
• Ensure compliance with certifications, including NRP, AWHONN, FHM, and OB surgical recovery protocols.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid RN license and current certification in NRP, AWHONN, and FHM.
• Have at least 2 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC electronic health record system.
• Be comfortable working night shifts (4x12 hours) and on-call rotations.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to float to other units in accordance with hospital policies.
