Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Podiatry Physician (DPM) or appropriately trained Physician (MD/DO) to provide on-site podiatric care to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. The physician will manage complex foot and ankle conditions, perform procedures, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Provide on-site podiatry consultations in SNF/LTC settings Diagnose and manage foot and ankle disorders including diabetic foot disease, ulcers, infections, and nail pathology Perform podiatric procedures including nail debridement, callus care, wound debridement, and minor surgical procedures as indicated Evaluate gait abnormalities, biomechanical issues, and deformities impacting mobility and fall risk Collaborate with nursing, wound care teams, therapy, and primary providers to prevent complications Educate residents and caregivers on foot hygiene, preventive care, and footwear recommendations Ensure accurate, timely, and regulatory-compliant documentation in EMR systems Qualifications Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited school of podiatric medicine OR MD/DO with podiatric scope of practice Completion of an accredited podiatric residency program preferred Active and unrestricted New York State license DEA registration (if applicable) Board Eligible or Board Certified (preferred) Experience in SNF/LTC or post-acute care settings preferred Equal Opportunity Employer Essen Health care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically diverse population. #J-18808-Ljbffr Essen Medical Associates
