Vascular Access Nurse Consultant - PICC RN

Job Description We’re seeking RNs with USGIV experience for full‑time roles, with paid training into PICC line insertion. Experienced PICC nurses welcome. Responsibilities Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance Utilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmation Assist with management of PICCs and vascular access devices Provide a wide range of vascular access support services, including port access, removal of lines, and declotting Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and related CVADs Scheduling Consultants visit patients in customer facilities and must be willing to travel and fulfill scheduling requirements. Full‑time scheduling includes three to four days per week, including weekends, and participation in a holiday rotation. Training & Experience Requirements Experienced in ultrasound guided IV (USGIV) placements and vascular access device (VAD) insertions Training available in some locations for candidates with recent, consistent USGIV placement experience Priority given to fully trained vascular access nurses, but additional training available for those with strong USGIV skills Required Qualifications Registered Nurse with current license American Heart BLS Certification Experience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshooting Experience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs) Ability to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated Valid driver’s license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sites Must possess a smartphone Must love vascular access Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 3 years acute‑care RN experience Experience placing PICCs, midlines or other vascular access devices using ultrasound Prior vascular access or PICC experience preferred Compensation Hourly pay range: $40 USD – $60 USD.
