Utility Worker - 2nd ShiftUtility Worker – 2nd Shift Pay: $18.11/hour + $0.75/hour shift differential Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM Overtime: Mandatory overtime at the end of the shift when available Saturdays: OccasionalPosition SummaryAdvance Services is hiring Utility Workers for a manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position assisting with various production operations throughout the plant. The Utility Worker serves as a floater, helping different production areas as needed based on staffing, production volume, vacations, and call-offs.ResponsibilitiesAssist production operators with daily manufacturing activitiesFeed and stack corrugated materials into production machinesAssist with machine setups and production runsInspect products for quality and remove defective materialsStack, bundle, and prepare finished productsAssist with gluing, labeling, die-cutting, flexo, and feeding operationsMove materials and loads throughout the production areaUse basic hand tools as neededMaintain a safe and clean work areaFollow all plant safety and quality proceduresBe willing to work in different production areas as assignedPhysical RequirementsThis is a physically demanding manufacturing position. Candidates must be able to: Stand for extended periods, up to 8–10 hours during a shift Repetitively lift up to 50 pounds for certain production duties Regularly lift and move materials Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and walk throughout the shift Use hands for handling and operating materials and equipment Work around moving mechanical equipment and vibration Work in a manufacturing environment that can be very loud and hot The specific physical requirements may vary depending on the production area assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred/required per client requirements Good communication skills Basic counting skills Ability to read a tape measure Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Manufacturing or production experience is a plus Forklift experience is a plus Must be dependable and willing to work overtime when requiredWork EnvironmentThis position is performed in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts, vibration, and loud noise. Temperatures inside the plant may become hot during the summer months.
