We need a hands-on senior Application Security Engineer with engineering experience to research, craft, and implement capabilities and defenses to secure and protect eBay's critical infrastructure.What you will accomplishPerform Application security architecture, design reviews and assessments of eBay product solutions including AI / ML and LLM solutionsEngineer and implement Application Security solutions using AI / LLM technologies as neededDevelop scalable security management tools and processesProvide hands-on engineering support for security solutionsOwn processes for continuously fine-tuning security rules and processes for efficient detection and mitigationReview security findings/violations reports and coordinate remediation effortsCollaborate with peer InfoSec teams in security incident investigations, and drive the security charter across organizationsWhat you will bringBSCS degree with 7-9 years of experience or an MS degree with 5+ years of experience5+ years Application Security engineering experience or 5+ years Software Engineering experience including some Application Security experienceHands-on experience in performing Application Security architecture and design reviews including security incidents analysisHands-on development experience in Java technologies, Web technologies and usage of AI / LLM related technologies Good understanding of OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities, as it relates to secure product development including AI / LLM technologies and their security implicationsSystems design experience and familiarity with Identity authentication and authorization concepts is a big plusExperience in containers, container orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes is preferredAbility to clearly articulate issues and communicate with leadership and partner teams in an effective and personable mannerSelf-starter and Effective communicatorAbility to multi-task and thrive in a small team in a fast-paced environmentAdditional DetailsThe base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:$196,800 - $262,700Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
