Role Description The Tax Preparer role at Morris Tax Services is a full-time, on-site position based in Bellevue, OH. This role involves preparing individual and small business tax returns, reviewing source documents, and ensuring filings comply with current tax laws and regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include meeting with clients to gather financial information, analyzing income and expense records, and preparing supporting schedules and forms. The Tax Preparer will verify data accuracy, identify potential deductions and credits, and explain tax outcomes to clients in clear, accessible language. Qualifications Strong tax preparation skills, including experience preparing individual and small business tax returns. Knowledge of tax law and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply current federal, state, and local tax rules. Familiarity with finance and financial statements, including the ability to review and analyze income, expenses, and supporting documentation. Proficiency with tax preparation software and basic office tools, and comfort working with electronic records.
