Job Title: Diesel & Equipment Mechanic (4-Day Work Week!)
Reports to: Fleet Manager
Location: Stockton, CA
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM (Enjoy a 3-Day Weekend, Every Week!)
Compensation: $40.00/hr++ (Depending on experience)

The Role: As an experienced Diesel & Equipment Mechanic, you will be a vital part of our maintenance team, responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. You will use your technical expertise to diagnose and resolve issues, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our assets.

Core Responsibilities:

• Diagnose complex issues and perform repairs on vehicles and equipment (electrical troubleshooting, removing, repairing, overhauling, and replacing major assemblies/components).
• Perform Federal DOT and State BIT inspections, and complete manufacturer preventative maintenance schedules.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency repairs (periodically traveling to other yards for routine maintenance).
• Utilize company software to maintain comprehensive records of work performed and parts used.
• Adhere to OSHA, company safety protocols, and proper disposal of HAZMAT/shop waste.
• Contain costs by utilizing warranty claims and evaluating parts options when possible.

What You Need (Must-Haves):

• 5+ years of heavy-duty diesel truck and equipment repair experience.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, suspension, electrical, air brake, and hydraulic system troubleshooting.
• Formal technical training in medium/heavy-duty mechanics.
• Must have your own tools (Ask about our quarterly tool reimbursement!) .
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to maintain coverage under company insurance when operating company vehicles.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (50+ pounds) and work in various environmental conditions.

Bonus Points (Preferred):

• Ability to maintain and repair liquid tank items (plumbing, meters, PTOs, pumps, valves, and poppets).
• Minor welding and fabrication skills.
