Physical Therapist Assistant - Travel

Location: Merced, California

Start Date: 08-05-2026

End Date: 11-04-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $36 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver therapy interventions following the PT plan of care to help patients restore mobility and independence
Document patient progress and responses to treatment with accuracy and timeliness
Empower patients through education and home exercise programs that promote long-term success
Communicate patient status clearly to the supervising PT to ensure seamless care coordination
Adhere to safety, infection control, and compliance standards in every patient interaction
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize each patient's recovery journey

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Active state PTA license or the ability to obtain one
Ability to follow treatment plans and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Knowledge & Skills

Physical therapy and rehabilitation interventions
Patient documentation and progress tracking
Patient education and home exercise program instruction
Clear communication with supervising PT and care team
Infection control and safety compliance
Collaboration and teamwork in a healthcare setting
