As we expand upon that legacy and continue to grow, Tellepsen is looking for experienced Estimators to join our team Job Purpose This position will work closely with professionals in other areas of the construction process, including clients, architects, and vendors to craft a detailed proposal outlining the costs of a specific construction project. RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Create complete cost estimates by utilizing market input unit costs and quantity takeoff of the scope of work. Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc. Support other department personnel as required may include preparing estimates in other disciplines. May review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability. Contact subcontractors for key trades that would make a direct impact on the project. Qualifications 2-5 years’ estimating, controls, engineering experience, or previous Project Engineer rotation experience Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred Knowledge and understanding of CSI divisions for subcontractor packages Knowledge and understanding of building envelope, foundations, roofing systems, concrete slab moisture levels, mechanical systems, ADA standards, etc. Proficiency in the use of technology software (e.g., Microsoft, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, OST, Destiny, etc.) Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control OSHA 30 Certification Must be very cognitive of safety in order to help maintain Tellepsen’s exemplary safety record 401k Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Education incentives Employee assistance programs For additional company information, please visit #J-18808-Ljbffr Tellepsen
