About the Position

Job Title: Behavioral Health Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 15:00 - 23:30 Hours per Shift: 32 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an inpatient psychiatric setting License: Current state licensure as Registered Nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have Skills/Experience: Previous behavioral health experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting Description: As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you will provide planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. You will develop nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. You will communicate changes in patients' clinical conditions with physicians, nursing supervisors/managers, and co-workers as appropriate. You will participate in the discharge planning process. Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program is required. Candidates must possess BCLS certification. A minimum of one year of experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is required. The position involves working with both adult and pediatric populations. Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, depression, bipolar disorder, substance use disorder, and anxiety. Dress code includes blue scrubs.
