In this role you will get to be a part of an amazing team of talented tower technicians, assessing and improving our nation's communications and navigational aid tower infrastructure. What You'll Be Doing: Conducting structural condition assessments of tower systems, including foundation, structural steel members and connection plates/bolts, appurtenances such as microwave dishes and communications antennas., cables, junction boxes, etc., grounding and lightning protection systems Adjusting tower guy cable tension and realigning towers as necessary Completing checklists and documenting conditions using photographical evidence Meeting with local tower ownership, clients, and landowners Debriefing customers and management on findings Consulting with management and engineers to assist in recommended corrective actions for tower condition improvement What Required Skills You'll Bring: A safe work history and mindset Comfort in climbing towers up to 400 feet in height (though generally less than 200 ft) Computer skills Communications skills (written and oral) 3 plus years experience in tower field required High school diploma or GED required What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Current or recent tower climb and rescue credentials Theodolites/total station operating experience Guy tensioning experience Security Clearance Requirement: None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
