About the Role
Southwest Freight Inc. is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to help keep our trucks, trailers, equipment, and yard operating safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on position with opportunities to learn trailer maintenance and grow within the company.
Responsibilities
- Organize trucks and trailers throughout the yard.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized property.
- Perform general yard and facility maintenance.
- Inspect trucks and trailers for obvious damage or safety concerns.
- Wash and maintain company equipment.
- Assist with basic preventive maintenance and trailer repairs as training is provided.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required.
- CDL preferred but not required.
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working with hand and power tools.
- Mechanically inclined or willing to learn.
- Experience with tools, equipment, construction, automotive, agriculture, or trucking is a plus.
