Class A Truck Driver

Safely and efficiently operate tractor and trailer transporting wood chips, mulch, logs and other forest products from various job sites to specified delivery facilities. All job duties must be carried out in a courteous, professional and safe manner. We provide our drivers with the latest model trucks, trailers and equipment.Drives truck and trailer to haul logs, wood chips, or other forest productsApplies knowledge of commercial driving and skill in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations: such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading/unloading areas off highway and private dirt roadsAbides by all Company, DOT, State and Federal transportation safety regulationsEnsures load is properly secured and weight is evenly distributed on truck and trailerPerforms pre-trip inspection of truck and checks operating condition of truck on daily basis.Must be able to operate equipment to load and unload trailers.Obtains and transfers load slips, shipping bill of lading and necessary paperworkMaintains records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including driver’s logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records and other records required by the companyRequires high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of tractor trailer and in preventing damage to materials and trailer equipmentMust be able to communicate with supervisor and dispatcher about changing site conditions, routes, paperwork and restrictions, that may ariseUpload all necessary documentation into Samsara IAW the MFP Driver Upload SOPMust have a valid Class A CDL driver’s license, current DOT physical examination card, and a clean DMV recordAt least one year of over the road experience; log hauling experience is preferredMust meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening; subject to random drug testing as required by DOTBe Professional:We set the standard for everything we do.
