Position Summary As an Intake Therapist at Blackbird Health, you'll play an essential role in delivering high-quality virtual and in-person intake evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. You'll build meaningful connections with patients and families from the very start of their care journey, spending the necessary time to understand their needs, educate them about therapeutic approaches, and ensure a seamless transition into ongoing treatment. You'll conduct thorough clinical assessments and collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans. This hybrid role supports our patients' needs for afterschool, evening, and weekend intake sessions. Employment Options W2 Full-Time (FTE) | LCSW, LPC, LMFT or PsyD/PhD Base Compensation: $80,000 base salary Hours & Schedule: Workload: 34 hours of completed intake evaluations/week. Shift Schedules: 5-day workweek options including 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM Core Hours: Minimum of 20 Core hours/week during peak evening/weekend periods (after 3:00 PM weekdays and/or weekends). Full Benefits Package: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO + 11 paid holidays, life insurance, and short/long-term disability. W2 Part-Time (20 hrs/week) | LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD/PhD Compensation: $45,000 base salary + $80 / session incentive for completed intake evaluations beyond the 17-hour baseline. Hours & Onsite Expectations: Workload: 17 hours of completed intake evaluations/week. Core Schedule: All 20 hours anchored in peak core windows (after 3:00 PM weekdays and/or weekends; e.g., Mon–Thu 3–8 PM / 3–9 PM or Fri 2–7 PM / Sat 10 AM–3 PM). How You'll Make an Impact Deliver High-Quality Intake Evaluations: Lead individual in-person and telehealth intake sessions for youth ages 2–26, using evidence-based assessment practices tailored to each patient's developmental stage and unique needs. Drive Strong Clinical Matches: Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans that ensure each patient is connected to the right ongoing treatment and provider. Collaborate for Integrated Care: Engage with clinicians, medical providers, and families to create coordinated treatment plans that address the whole child. Participate in weekly paid clinical consultations to enhance your clinical skills. Maintain Clinical Excellence: Maintain thorough intake documentation and patient records. The Basics You'll Need Active independent license as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or PsyD/PhD in New Jersey. A minimum of 1 year of experience working with child and adolescent patients. A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a telehealth or virtual setting. Availability after 3:00 PM ET weekdays and/or weekends.
