Opportunity:

RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Day/Evening shifts, 8 hours per shift with rotating start times between 6:30 AM and 10:30 AM
• Weeknight call requirement
• May need to stay past end of shift to finish the day's schedule
• Must be able to perform Moderate Sedation in procedure, and pre/post all levels of care including PACU/Phase I and Phase II recovery
• Utilizes an RN driven assessment approach to sedation with patients managed within targeted sedation range based on their Ramsay Sedation Scale score
• Must have recent experience recovering sedated GI and pulmonary procedures such as ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, and Bronchoscopy (some patients have general anesthesia rather than moderate sedation)
• Provide care for patients during GI and Bronchoscopy procedures including administration of sedation
• Serve as an integral part of a surgical team performing multispecialty procedures
• Assume overall responsibility for management of the operating room to which you are assigned
• High acuity environment - must be willing to perform bedside procedures including ICU and ED settings
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• 2 years of acute care experience in the specialty required within the last 3 years
• Academic Level 1 Trauma center or similar size hospital experience required
• Travel experience required
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility - locals not accepted
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start (two attempts allowed; passing score of 80% or higher required)
• Adult Telemetry Exam requires 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole, with no incorrect answers on 3rd degree heart block questions
• Pediatric Telemetry Exam covers ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia with a passing score of 80% or higher
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, WI RN or compact RN license (pending WI license accepted with submission)
• CGRN certification preferred

The facility operates a high-acuity endoscopy unit with a daily census of 20 to 25 patients across 4 procedure rooms, serving adult and geriatric patient populations. The unit supports multispecialty procedures with a comprehensive team-based approach to patient care.
