Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

3x12 Hour Shifts, Days (07:00 - 19:30). Weekend coverage required every other weekend.

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care and telemetry monitoring for patients with cardiovascular conditions in a 32-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit. Focus will be on the care of Heart Failure patients, managing inpatient care and coordinating care services post-hospitalization.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct continuous EKG and oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry.
• Administer intravenous and oral medications for cardiac conditions and arrhythmias.
• Prepare and send patients for cardiac interventions and diagnostic tests.
• Provide holistic care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and their families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of Cardiac Telemetry nursing experience.
• 1 year of experience with EPIC documentation system.
• Active South Carolina RN license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• 3 years of experience required for first-time travelers.
