Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to identify clients' mental health needs, utilizing established protocols and diagnostic criteria.

• Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to the specific recovery goals of individual clients, considering their unique circumstances, challenges, and strengths.

• Provide individual, couples, and group counseling sessions, employing a range of therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Informed Care.

• Work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic client care, engaging with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals as needed.

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal, ethical, and HIPAA regulations, ensuring all documentation reflects client progress and treatment strategies.

• Participate in regular clinical supervision and case management meetings, sharing insights and strategies with colleagues for ongoing professional development.

• Actively engage in community outreach and education initiatives, enhancing the visibility of available services and promoting mental health awareness in the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is on individuals struggling with addiction and substance use disorders. You will work closely with clients who may also be facing co-occurring mental health issues, such as anxiety or depression. Building rapport and trust is crucial, as many clients may have encountered barriers to seeking help in the past. Your ability to connect empathetically while providing evidence-based treatment will be vital in fostering long-term recovery and building resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• Active and independent LMHC license in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits\n
